God allows us to make whatever choices we want, but He will only bless those choices that He wants us to make. This is not saying that God will lead you in that way that you should choose, but in the way that God should choose. How will He instruct you? “In the way that He should choose.” Perhaps your Bible does not use a capital letter for “He” in this verse, and that has lead you astray. But, if you are faithful, if you fear Him and honor Him, then He will instruct you. If you fail to obey His simple commands, He will not entrust you with greater commands. God will not toss His pearls before swine. Only this man will receive the instructions of the Lord. “The man who fears the Lord” is the man who has a healthy respect of God the man who holds God in reverence the man who obeys the Lord. It is even possible to fear Him and be friends with Him at the same time, as David illustrates in Psalm 25:12-15. It is also possible to love the Lord and fear Him. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain So Jerusalem will be holy, And strangers will pass through it no more.Is it possible to love someone and still be afraid of them? Absolutely! Most children can testify to this on at least two accounts: (1) if you’ve ever had to move away from home and leave behind some of your dearest friends, then, when you next make friends, no matter how much you care for them, you have a fear of losing them too and (2) if your parents have ever punished you severely for some infraction of their rules, then you learned to fear their wrath, though you love them and know how much they love you. The LORD roars from Zion And utters His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and the earth tremble But the LORD is a refuge for His people And a stronghold to the sons of Israel. The sun and moon grow dark And the stars lose their brightness. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe Come, tread, for the wine press is full The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. Let the nations be aroused And come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I will sit to judge All the surrounding nations. Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare a war rouse the mighty men! Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up! Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears Let the weak say, "I am a mighty man." Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations, And gather yourselves there Bring down, O LORD, Your mighty ones. "Also I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a distant nation," for the LORD has spoken.

"Since you have taken My silver and My gold, brought My precious treasures to your temples, and sold the sons of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their territory, behold, I am going to arouse them from the place where you have sold them, and return your recompense on your head. "Moreover, what are you to Me, O Tyre, Sidon and all the regions of Philistia? Are you rendering Me a recompense? But if you do recompense Me, swiftly and speedily I will return your recompense on your head.

"They have also cast lots for My people, Traded a boy for a harlot And sold a girl for wine that they may drink. "For behold, in those days and at that time, When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations And they have divided up My land.
